How does a researcher/writer present data so that it looks beautiful and conveys the right message? Heck, let’s go back one step – how does a researcher/writer present their work so that somebody will read it (apart from the person who commissioned it)? I think I have found the book to read: Edward Tufte’s Beautiful Evidence (2006… I’m always a bit late in finding good books). There’s nothing like an amazing graphic designer to transport one’s research from credible into incredible. For example, Big Red Dog who designed my book Faking It back in 2008. I’d like to learn more about how to consider presentation even at the initial moments of a research project. The infographic is a good move in the right direction but I find them to be still a little simplistic and dumbed down for my liking. It’s a whole new world for a researcher in the digital age!
